Bernard is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and candidate for the Presidency of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President at BHP Billiton, the world largest mining company, prior to founding Liberty Africa, which he managed (from 2007 to 2012) and successfully established its presence in 16 African countries.
